I agree 100% and no matter what , I am a great lover and supporter of Israel and the Jewish people . The state of Israel is their birthright , the ancestral homeland of the Jewish people and it needs to stay that way for all the reasons you just mentioned in your post . If the world loved Jews and protected them as the citizens of their countries, then maybe Israel would not be as important but we all know that’s not the case . We’re seeing a huge resurgence of antisemitism here in America and very upset and angry with that . We’re all trying to fight it in every way we can . We must not let antisemitism become normalized.

As an Indian, I am continually amazed that Jews need to defend themselves and that Israel has to satisfy the same people who ignored the actual genocides of yazdis, Kurds, darfur, continuing misery and starvation in Sudan and Yemen.

Tragicallly, once again Israel and the Jewish people are fighting for existence. But I also have no doubt that they will succeed and thrive.

Machiavelli stated it is better to be feared than loved. I agree. Carry on!

I have lived in Jewish areas since I came to the USA at age 13. No people try harder to reach out to the less fortunate. Jews marched with Martin Luther King. They do outreach and move poor people into their communities. My Jewish suburb has at least 3 mosques. Built in the last 15 years. We formed a group of women. Muslim and Jewish to welcome them. We all get along in my community. I don't understand the hatred coming from everywhere else.

Wonderfully said. But that’s what we learned in diaspora - we are eager to be liked, to assimilate, not to stand out, be like everybody else. What we fail to understand is that we are always “others”. Time to learn how to live with it proudly.
